As the Singapore property development and investment arm of Wee Hur Holdings Ltd, WHP is supported by an established home-grown group with more than four decades of experience across construction, real estate development and property investment.

Wee Hur Holdings traces its history to 1980, when it began as a Singapore construction business. Over the years, the company expanded its capabilities by undertaking increasingly diverse and complex projects across the residential, commercial, industrial and institutional sectors. Wee Hur Holdings was subsequently listed on the Mainboard of the Singapore Exchange in 2008, marking an important stage in the Group’s corporate development.

The Group’s local property development and investment activities are now undertaken by Wee Hur Property Pte Ltd. WHP identifies and acquires vacant land or existing properties with redevelopment potential before developing them in accordance with their approved uses. Individual developments may be undertaken through entities that are wholly owned by WHP or jointly owned with strategic partners. This flexible approach allows Wee Hur Property to lead projects independently while also collaborating with other investors and organisations where their combined resources and experience may support the development.

Established Development Portfolio in Singapore

Wee Hur Property has participated in a varied portfolio of developments across Singapore. Its residential track record includes Parc Centros, a 618-unit private condominium in Punggol, and Parc Botannia, a 735-unit condominium in Fernvale. Its other residential developments include Bartley Vue, Villas@Gilstead and Urban Residences.

The company has also developed industrial projects serving different business requirements. These include Harvest@Woodlands, Premier@Kaki Bukit, Mega@Woodlands and other strata-titled developments. This portfolio reflects WHP’s ability to work across multiple property sectors and respond to different market segments.

Joint-Venture Structure for Upper Thomson Residences

For Upper Thomson Residences, Wee Hur Property has entered into joint ventures with GSC Holdings, TKS International Investment Pte. Ltd., Capital Development Pte. Ltd., Thomson Invesco Pte. Ltd., ARA (ECO)(26CB) Pte. Ltd. and TBP Thomson A Pte. Ltd.

WHP will hold a 50% shareholding in the relevant development ventures, while the six other participating firms will collectively hold the remaining 50%. GSC Holdings also holds shares in Wee Hur Property, whereas the other joint-venture partners do not hold an interest in WHP.

This consortium structure combines Wee Hur Property’s development leadership with the capital and perspectives of its partners. The arrangement allows the participating companies to collaborate on a strategically located mixed-use site while sharing the responsibilities associated with planning and delivering a large residential development.

Shaping Upper Thomson Residences

Upper Thomson Residences occupies a site of approximately 262,875 sq ft beside Springleaf MRT Station. The development is expected to comprise around 595 residential units, ranging from two- to five-bedroom homes, together with approximately 21,527 sq ft of commercial space at the first storey.

A key feature of the project is its planned direct underground connectivity to Springleaf MRT Station on the Thomson-East Coast Line. This connection is expected to provide residents with convenient and weather-protected access to Singapore’s MRT network. The development will also benefit from its proximity to Springleaf Forest, Springleaf Nature Park and Lower Seletar Reservoir.

The site therefore requires a development approach that considers transportation, residential privacy, commercial activity and the surrounding natural environment.
